Fixed odds betting on HK racing has been around for many years. I cannot paste the URL here as it is illegal to do so under HK betting ACTS;
but the bookies' holding is very small compared with the HK pool size. The challenge for HKJC to offer Fixed-Odd is that it has nobody else to lay off the bets! Perhaps they can lay it off to the pool like all other bookies are doing------Why bothers??
About HKJC Place betting:
There are pros and cons. Currently, nobody gets 'MoneyBack' but 'MB' does happen oversea. For instance, they pay 1.00 for a placed horses at Queensland, Australia[ you lose if it runs 4th and you get your money back if it places].
The existing HKJC system favours the ones who bet PLC on hotties. Only silly punters would bet PLC on long-shots.
