For every race, there is a standard time in each class and each distance, which is based on the last 3 seasons' time to calculate by the HKJC. There is a finish time of every race, which differs from races to races because of different conditions of each race. For race goers, you have to check the finish time of the last race in the same class and same distance with the standard time of the same to figure out if the horse you choose is a winner. If the horse time is faster than
the standard time , the horse could be a good horse.
However, even though the horse's finish time in a previous race is faster than the standard, it does not mean she can win. You have to compare every horse in the same race to check which horse finish time could be the best, taking into account the change of draw and the adjustment of the weights and change of jockey. Brother, horse raceing is not an easy game. Horse racing is very scientific and needs a lot of brain power.
